Moby Max
Moby Max is a website we will be using to practice skills in all subjects. This is a great website to reinforce skills, practice, and even enrich students.
Math Resources
IXL is a great site for practicing specific skills that a student needs to reinforce. You can also use this as enrichment for students, just go into the 4th grade skills and try out some of those skills. With the free version it will only allow you a certain amount of minutes a day.
Learn zillion is a great site for tutorials and videos to teach students (and parents) different ways to solve problems. This is perfect if a student tells you "Mr. Miller doesn't do it like that" but can't explain how to do it. I can also assign practice and quizzes to students to reteach and practice skills. This will also work to stretch students to 4th and 5th grade skills and challenge them.
Reading Practice
This is a neat website. It offers some digital books for kids. For each book read they donate a book to charity. That's a win win. You can search by interest or by age.
This site offers passages and comprehension questions. It is less engaging but if you are looking for something that has a comprehension element and some choice involved this is a fine site.
Cloze reading is basically a reading passage with missing words that students fill in. It helps to practice reading comprehension and attention to meaning in reading.
This is a nice organized list of activities based around specific concepts that students might be struggling with. If you know there are certain areas that need to be reinforced try this site.
